It is with great sadness that the family of Hedwiedge Marie (Doucet) Roy announce her death at York Manor on February 3rd, 2011 at the age of 92. Born in Rogersville on January 4th, 1919 she was the beloved wife of the late J. Edgar Roy and daughter of the late Ernest and Delores (Allain) Doucet. Hedwiedge leaves behind her children Yoland (Sylbie) of Fredericton, Ronald (Linda) of Vernon BC, Raymond (Sue) of Saint John, Thelma (Barry) of Ottawa, Annette (Stephen) of Fredericton, Paul (Elsa) of Ottawa; 14 grandchildren 10 great- grandchildren, one brother Lionel of Asbestos, PQ; sisters Orise Mayorka of Augusta, Me, Izella St.Onge of Edmonston and Rejeanne Colburn of Portsmouth, NH. She was predeceased by a brother Wilderie Doucet.
The family will receive visitors at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton on Sunday, February 6th, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM. A memorial mass will take place at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church (Royal Road) on Monday, February 7th, 2011 at 11 AM with Fr. John Jennings as celebrant. A reception will take place in the church hall immediately following the mass. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. www.mcadamsfh.com
