HAMILTON, ON / TRENTON, NS - Mildred Jessie Gollie, 92 of Hamilton, Ontario, formerly of Trenton, Nova Scotia, passed away January 28, 2011 at the hospital in Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Alex G. and Sadie (Fraser) MacDonald.
For many years she worked at the Nova Scotia Power Commission in Trenton where she met her late husband Clair with whom she travelled world wide.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Loving mother of Cindy (Brian) Shelton, dear Nana and Grandma of Paul (Nancy), Laura (Troy), Jason, Charron (Michael), six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Joyce MacDonald. Minnie will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clair; brothers, Fraser and Lloyd; sisters, Anne Green and Verna Farnell.
A memorial service was held in Hamilton and a graveside service will be held at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens in Sylvester, Pictou County, NS, on a date to be announced in July 2011.
