Dawn-Aeron Wason passed away at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton NB on February 3, 2011. Born in Saint John, NB on June 22, 1965 she was the daughter of Freda (Newman) Pedersen and the late Walter Wason. Dawn-Aeron is survived by her husband, Chris Thompson and her daughter, Ava Wynne Wason-Thompson (14) of Fredericton; her brother, Edward Wason (Stratford, ON); her mother, Freda and step-father, Jon Pedersen (Jemseg); her parents-in-law, Lois and Roy Thompson (Moncton); her devoted extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and by her loyal circle of friends. Everyone who knew Dawn will greatly miss her companionship and wonderful sense of humour. In addition to her devotion to her beloved daughter Ava and to her loving husband Chris, Dawn-Aeron's passions were music, her poetry and nature. A deeply spiritual person, she dreamed of helping to build a more creative, compassionate society. Dawn-Aeron earned her BA and MA (Social Anthropology) from Dalhousie University and her BSW from St. Thomas University.
As per Dawn-Aeron's request there will be no visitation or service at this time. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Fredericton Emergency Shelter or to the SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
