Passed away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on July 7, 2009, Edward (Ned) Careen, age 86 of Point Lance. Predeceased by his wife Stella and parents Nicholas and Margaret, brothers: Anthony, Patrick and John, and sister Margaret. Left to mourn his sisters: Theresa Roche and Annie (Conway- Pittman) both of St. John's, also a large number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends especially the residents of the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia. Resting at Sacred Heart Church, St. Bride's on Tuesday July 7 from 2-9 p.m., on Wednesday, July 8 from 2-9 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Point Lance. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, July 9 at 11:00 at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Point Lance. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia.
