Dora Wallace

Dora M. Wallace of Central Hainesville, NB passed away February 5, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, surrounded by her family. Dora was born in 1913 at Upper Hainesville, NB, a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Johnson) Jones. Early in her life she worked at the Hainesville General Store. Later, she and her husband Alvah were employed at Crabbe Mountain for a number of years. They were members of the Headpond Twirlers Square Dance Club and enjoyed camping at the Mic Mac Trailer Park. Dora enjoyed knitting, quilting, working with her flowers and spending time with family. She is survived by her son, Clinton Wallace (Rowena), Millville, NB; three grandchildren, Randy Wallace, Woodstock, NB, Rev. Kevin Wallace (Crystal), Jacksonville, North Carolina and Angela Mills (Jeff), Millville, NB; eight great grandchildren, Rachelle Hypolite (Daniel), Jacksonville, North Carolina, Chantal Wallace, St. Louis, Missouri, Luke, Evan and Austin Mills, Millville, NB, Taylor, Brent, Kyle Wallace and their mother Lisa Wallace, Woodstock, NB; a great great granddaughter, Maleah Hypolite, Jacksonville, North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Jean Belyea, Fredericton, NB and Althea Jones, Harvey, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dora was predeceased by her husband, Alvah Wallace, one brother, Wilbur Jones and three sisters, Lillian Hoyt, Muriel Jones and Lois Flemming.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Trevor McGuire officiating. Interment will be later at Central Hainesville Cemetery.
