With treasured memories of a life well lived and hearts full of sadness, the family of Evelyn Catherine Moore, announce her passing at Valley View Villa, Riverton on February 5, 2011 surrounded by her family.
Mum was born on September 13, 1914 in Alder River,Guysborough County, a daughter of the late William A and Mary(Duffy)Glenn.
Her parents moved to Heatherton when she was a young woman, a place dear to her heart.
She was a life long resident of Stellarton. Mum was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church and a faithful member of the CWL for over 50 years.
She was a member of the Local Council of Women, Mothers Auxilliary for the Balmoral Girl's Pipe Band, and the Stellarton Senior's Club.
For many years she volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Red Cross.
Mum will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family for her gentle ways and unconditional love.
She is survived by daughter, Glenda(Brian)Buckles, sons, Brian(Rose), Robert(Donna), grandchildren: Kevin, Shannon and Andrew Buckles, Christopher, Murray and Kelly Moore, Travis and Bradly Moore as well as great-grandchildren Leoni and Evelyn Buckles.
She was predeceased by her husband by her husband Robert Leslie, brothers: James, Frank and Henry sisters: Helen, Josephine and Mary Margaret(Peggy).
The family will receive visitors from 12:45-1:45pm Wednesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton from where a mass of Christian burial will be held at 2pm with Father Peter MacDonald presiding.
Burial at a later date in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Cemetery.
No flowers by request. Donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to the Pictou County Fuel Fund
