It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister and best friend, Vicki Anne Lewis, on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Etobicoke, Ont., she was the daughter of the late John Matthews and Bernice Rockefeller.
For 30 years, Vicki was employed at Harbourstone Enhanced Care in the dietary department, for which we are very proud.
Left to mourn her loss are her children, Tammy and Richie, both of Sydney and Darrell, British Columbia; six grandchildren; brothers, John Matthews and John Douglas Rockefeller; and her companion, Marvin Howard.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Vicki's life will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, 11 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Whent officiating.
