Minnie Jane Bezanson, 88, formerly of Dalhousie, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born June 8, 1922 in Fraxville, Lunenburg County. She was the eldest daughter of the late Hewitt and Hazel (Hiltz) Bezanson. She is survived by sisters Annie Lonergan, Berwick, Marion Lowe, Springfield, Beulah Barkhouse, Dalhousie, brothers Arnold (Diann), Dalhousie, and Chesley (Janet), Dartmouth, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers-in-law Laurence Lonergan, Howard Lowe, Murray Barkhouse, nephew Jason Barkhouse, a great niece, a great nephew. The funeral service was held January 24, 2011 in St. Augustine of Hippo, The Forties. Officiated by Rev. Frances Boutilier assisted by Rev. Gordon Neish and Rev. Charles Bull. Our sincere thanks to Whites Funeral Home, Kentville, Rev. Boutilier, Rev. Neish and Rev. Bull, organist Eugene Gates, the Pall Bearers, and The Forties Garden Club for taking care of the reception that followed.
