It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Phyllis Lynk , which occurred July 7, 2009 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Laura (Terris) Melanson.
Phyllis is survived by her former husband, John Lynk; son, Kevin Lynk (Rhonda Doyle); granddaughter, Sonya Lynk, Halifax; grandson, Yuri Lynk, Montreal; sister, Irma (Coady) Marsh; brother, Art (Delores) Melanson, Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Helen, Grace and Leta; brothers, Lawrence, Elroy, Ivan, and Ralph.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday July 11, 2009 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. There is a reception to follow.
