McGEE, Kenneth Maurice "Ken" - 62, East Village, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday evening, February 7, 2011, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born August 2, 1948, in Tracy, New Brunswick, he was a son of John McGee (Mabel Zinck), River John, and the late Rayleen (Betts) McGee. He was a well known auctioneer and had a great love for antiques, horses and 4-H, for which he was a leader. Along with his father, John, and his wife, Mabel, Ken is survived by his wife, Randi; daughter, Dianna (Victor) McKenzie, Debert; son, Jonathan (Sabrina) McGee, Crowes Mills; step-daughter, Helen (Tim) Hudson, Calgary; step-son, Paul Damgaard, Saskatchewan; grandchildren, Alex Hudson, Andrew McGee, Brayden McGee, Danica McGee, Spencer McGee, Anabelle McGee; sister, Theda (Carmen) Davidson, Tatamagouche; several nieces and nephews. Ken's family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m., all in Faith Baptist Church, 38 Station Road, Great Village, Pastor Steve Adams officiating. Reception will follow. Spring interment in Wentworth Cemetery. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Ken's memory to 4-H (TNR) Scholarship Fund, Heart and Stroke foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association are welcomed.
