Anita Connors
Anita G. Connors (DiMarino), of Moncton, with her loving family by her side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Born in Battipaglia, Salerno, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Sallustia (Coppola) DiMarino. Anita was a former Special Care Home Operator and was a member of St. Philip's Anglican Church and the Moncton City Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, travelling and spending time with her family and friends. Anita will be sadly missed by her daughter, Maria P. Connors-Niver and son-in-law, Cleon of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; granddaughter, Natasha Anita; brothers, Vittorio (Maria) and Nicola (Guilana) DiMarino; sisters, Lidia (Rocco) and Eugenia (Antonio), as well as several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, L. Patrick Connors (January 2001); her brother, Costantino and sister, Maria Immacolata.
In keeping with Anita's wishes there will be no visitation hours. Funeral Service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, February 12, 2011, 1:30 pm, Archdeacon R.B. Stockall officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit of The Moncton Hospital for the excellent care and compassion given to Anita and her family.
