Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Mike Spontaneo at the age of 63 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his wife, Shirley (nee Kennedy); son: Mike (Carol Ann); daughter: Tracey (Nick); special grandchildren: Michael & Ryan, Sara & Evie; brothers: Walter (Barb) Pasadena, Frank (Tina), Ontario, Sean (Pat), Corner Brook, Johnny (Kitty), Halifax; sisters: Sandy (Max) Pynn, British Columbia, Debbie (Dwayne) O’Leary, Ontario, Rena (Gerald) MacDonald, Corner Brook; father and mother-in-law: Leo and Annie Kennedy; brothers-in-law: Robert (Elsie) Kennedy, Gerald Kennedy, Corner Brook, Allan (Annette) Kennedy, Ontario, Terry (Cindy) Kennedy, Alex Kennedy, Ben (Jennifer) Stone, all residing in Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Mary (Danny) Robertson, Irene (Richard) Snow, Barb (Charles) Tallick and Ina Bennett, all of Corner Brook; special caregiver, Crystal Webb, Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by parents, Michael and Sarah; sisters, Carolann and Helen; great grandparents: Peter and Mary French; and brother-in-law Tony Bennett. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the family.
