Clarence Bastarache, 71 of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away at his residence on Sunday February 6, 2011. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on January 31st, 1940, he was the son of the late Lionel and the late Irène (Robichaud) Bastarache. He will be sadly missed by his three children, Lisa Arsenault of Sainte-Marie de Kent, André (Lynn) of Leominster, MA., Allan (Lise Allain) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, the mother of his children Jeannette Crawford and his four grandchildren Ashley, Tristen, Tiffani and Tyler. He also leaves to mourn, his seven sisters, Adèla Boudreau (late Edward) of Saint-Pierre de Kent, Jeannita Maillet (late Aurèle), Adrienne Léger (Lélice) both of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Jeannine Coté (Roger) of Fitchburg, MA., Diane Cormier (Joseph) of Saint-Antoine, Anise Bastarache of Calgary, and Norma Bastarache of Bouctouche, his six brothers, Normand (Esther), Raoul both of Fitchburg, MA., Guy (Diane), Aldéo (Yvette) both of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Léo-Paul (Elmonde) of Vancouver and Gerard (Alvita) of Clearwater, FL., and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two sisters, Aurise and Marie and one brother Aldorie.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Monday February 14th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Monday February 14th, 2011 at 7:00 pm with internment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
