Honore Joseph (Henry) Cyr of Wirral, NB. passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on February 10, 2011 at the age of 76. Henry was born in Val D'Amours, NB in 1934, son of Marguerite LeBlanc and M. Wilfred Cyr, and husband to the late Evelyn Blake. Henry lived and worked most of his adult life in Toronto and was employed as a Sheet Metal Worker, he was also a member of Local 285 Sheet Metal Union. Henry is survived by four daughters; Marguerite (Peggy) Cyr, Patricia Cyr Winslow, Joanne Waite, Rosalind Cyr, three sons; Rick (Donna) Cyr, Sand Brook, NB, Timothy Cyr, Randy (Maria) Cyr, Montreal, QC. four sisters; May Saucier, Caledon, ON, Rosalie Pettetier, Balmoral, NB, Beatrice Johnson, Campbelton, NB, Gisele Chouinard, Montreal QC., one brother; Roger Cyr, Toronto, ON. Grandchildren; Phillip, Andrew, Michelle, Dario, Evan James, Cory, Nicole, Lauren and Gracie, great grandson Dylan several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Henry was predeceased by two sisters; Irene Savoie, Agathe Ouellette and one brother Simon Cyr.
Honoring Henry's request there will be no visitations. Funeral service will be at St. Columba Catholic Church in Fredericton Junction, NB. on February 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Father Mark Trzop officiating. Interment will be in held later in the spring.
