Alison Heckbert
1920 - 2011 - Bathurst - Alison Dickson Heckbert, widow of the late Sydney A. Heckbert, of Queen Elizabeth Drive, Bathurst, passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at the age of 90. Born in Chatham, on July 19, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Stafford M. and Ethel (Dickson) Loggie. She was a homemaker a member of the United Church; a former employee of the Bank of Montreal; a member of the U.C.W.; a former member of the I.O.D.E. She is survived by two sons, Robert Heckbert, of Vancouver, B.C. and Donald Heckbert, of Bathurst; one brother in law, Fred Heckbert, of Miramichi; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Sydney, in 2000; one sister, Marjorie Legge; two brothers, Byron and Frank Loggie; one sister in law, Phyllis Butler; one brother in law, Mac Heckbert.
By her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The public are invited to attend a memorial service to be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, February 17, 2011, at 2 pm, conducted by Penny Postlethwaite. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
