Aubrey Morris Hurley, 66, of Maccan passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan.
Born in Maccan, he was a son of the late Alexis and Amie (Collins-Fisher) Hurley.
He retired from CN and began to enjoy all the activities that he loved. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting back at the camp, driving his four-wheeler and playing cards. Aubrey enjoyed spending time with family and friends reliving old stories of their younger years in Maccan, talking about the current news and the adventures yet to come.
He will be lovingly remembered by all of his family: Daughters, Lynn (Dean) Harrison, River Hebert, Jennifer (Randy) Burbine, Amherst: Grandchildren, Alex, Ben, Emily and Zachary: Brothers, Danny (NormaJoyce), Thompson Station, Irvin (Claudia), Ross both of Maccan, and Connie, South Shore: Sisters, Joyce (Ronnie) Ripley, Maccan, Linda (Ronald) Boss, Nappan, and Cathy (Mac) Harroun, Springhill: many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Aubrey was predeceased by: Brother Gervin.
As per Aubrey's wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst (667-9906). A private gathering and celebration of Aubrey's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Aubrey's memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Palliative Care Department.
