Mintus, Roy Albert 58, of Truro, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2011 at home. He was born in Sydney and was a former councilor with the Nova Scotia Government at the School for Girls in Truro. He later operated his own lawn maintenance business for several years. He is survived by his wife the former Adrienne (Chiasson) Mintus; sister, Helen; brothers, Steve, Brian, Bernie and Kenneth. He was predeceased by brother, James. Visitation will be held 11am – 2pm Wednesday, February 16, followed by funeral service at 2pm, with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, with cremation to follow. A reception will follow the funeral service at the Truro Horsemens Club Bible Hill. Family flowers only. Donations in Roy’s memory may be made to the Parkinson Society Maritime Region.
