Eldora Ellsworth



Eldora Lucinda "Sis" Ellsworth, age 78, of Springhill, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, on Sunday, February 13, 2011, in All Saints Hospital, Springhill surrounded by her family. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the Late Robert and Annie (Parks) Allison.



Sis was a Past Grand Chief of the Grand Temple of the Maritime Provinces, a member and Past Chief of Pythian Star Temple # 8, Past Noble Grand of Lady Minto Rebekah Lodge # 23, a Past Imperial Representative of El Shebab Santha # 21 of Amherst, NS; a member of Springhill Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.





She will be sadly missed by daughter, Margaret Ann (Ronald) Arseneault, Port Howe/Florida; sons, Michael (Margie) Ellsworth, Mapleton and Richard (Kimberly) Ellsworth, Kentville; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sister, Verna Clark, Springhill; special nephew, Bobby Clark; as well as several nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by her husband James "Ducker" Ellsworth; and a brother, Mackie Allison.



Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A Graveside Committal Service will be held at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.



If so desired, donations in Sis' memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation (Springhill Chapter), or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
