JANET (nee Haroldson) LANGFORD Nov. 22, 1937 – Feb. 11, 2011 Janet passed away suddenly at the Victoria Hospital on Friday, February 11, 2011. She was born in Brockington, SK to Nels and Ann Haroldson. In 1947 the family moved to Melfort where she received her education. She worked at the Southern Inn in Edmonton, AB and came back in 1956 to work for the DNR. She worked as a cook in the various camps until 1959. On October 9, 1959 she married Tom Langford and they resided in Spruce Home. This is where she liked to farm, garden, play Kaiser with the neighbours, fish at Ted’s lake and especially enjoyed making a big Christmas meal. Janet is survived by her loving family: her children Jennie Scott (children Justin, Nicole (Devin Waterhouse), Tammy, step-daughter Crystal (Mike) Lysorika and great-grandson Dawson), Janice (Roy) Bartley (children Darcy (Ricki) great-granddaughter Brook, Jamie (Kendra Bullin) great-granddaughter Amada Foy and her mother Jodie, Tyson (Natasha) Johnson, William Langford (Betty Montgrand) (children Kayla, Kalin and their mother Roxanne Richards), Belinda (Terry) Geschwind (children Soraya, Tyler), Danny Langford (Annette Fiddler); her brothers Arlene Haraldson, Larry (Gloria) Haroldson and Everet Haraldson; her sister Lorna Spearman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Tom Langford; her son-in-law Richard Scott; her parents Nels and Annie (nee Skifton) Haroldson; her brothers Russel and Floyd (Dorreen) Haraldson; a baby sister. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place in South Hill Cemetery.
