The death occurred at the Prince Edward Home on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, of Mrs. Helen B. Currie (nee McKearney), formerly of Moreau Drive, Charlottetown, age 84 years.
Beloved wife of the late J. Alfred Currie, and dear mother of Marilyn (Lloyd) MacLeod, Leonard (Marjorie), and Kevin (Cindy). She will also be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren, Sherri (Mike) Davis, Krista Currie (Shawn), Angela MacLeod (Ray), Marsha MacLeod (Chris), Tyler MacLeod (Melissa); seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Eileen (Don) Veinot, Theresa Smith, Catherine (Gerald) MacEachern, Carol MacPhee and brother, Lyle McKearney.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Florence (McDonald) McKearney; grandson, Adam Currie; sisters, Bernadette Walsh, Vivian Alderson, Pat Mullen; brothers, Gerald McKearney and Ivan McKearney.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Friday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
