Shirley E. Kingston, loving companion of Robert Sweet passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at the Saint John Residential Hospice. Born 1934 in Jemseg, NB she was the daughter of the late Beverly and Verna (Titus) Stewart. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister Orla Stewart and brother Halsey Stewart. Besides her companion Robert she is survived by her sons Paul Kingston (Elawnda) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Peter Kingston (Debbie Green, her daughters Kelly and Kalyn) of Saint John; daughter Pamela Gail Ross (Jim Buchanan) of Saint John; grandchildren Kevin Kingston and Corey Kingston; brother Stanley Stewart (Mary) of Saint John; sister Lillian McDermott (Frank) Saint John; sister-in-law Florence Stewart of Saint John; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
By request there will be no visitations or funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. Donations in memory of Shirley made to Hospice of Greater Saint John “Bobby’s Hope House” or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
