Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, Evelyn Pearl Best (Roach), aged 86 years. Residing at Hillcrest Estates, Mount Pearl, formerly of Come-by-chance. Predeceased by her husband Berkley and son Donald. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons David (Violet), Mount Pearl and William (Joanne), Chamberlains; daughters Rowena, Paradise and Anita, St. John’s; grandchildren David (Wanda), Ottawa, Nancy (Chris), Kilbride, Michelle (Ed), Arnold’s Cove, Michael, St. John’s, Kimberley (Adam), Topsail and Jonathan, St. John’s; great grandchildren Brooklyn and Jared, Ottawa; brother John (Dorothy) Roach, Glovertown; sister Rowena Luscombe, Port Colbourne, Ontario and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Rested at St. Paul’s United Church, Come-by-chance. Funeral service took place on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from St. Paul’s United Church, Come-by-chance with interment at Come-by-chance Interfaith Cemetery. In her memory donations may be made to the United Church, Come-by-chance.
