Adeodat Gaudet
Adéodat Gaudet suddenly passed away at his residence in Memramcook on Tuesday, February 15th, 2011 at the age of 87. Born in McGinley, he was the son of late Édouard Gaudet and the late Alma Gaudet. He made his living as a farmer and then he worked at Kraft Foods Canada until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Rose-Marie (Cormier) Gaudet and his children Paulette (Yvon) Julien of Haweskbury Ontario, Joline (Camille) LeBlanc of La Hetriere, Roland (Sylvia) Gaudet of Old Shediac Rd, daughter in-law Paulette (Euclide) Gaudet of McGinley, grandchildren Rejean, Pierre, Anne, Vicky, Marie-Josee, Julie, Annie, six great-grand children Justin, Robin, Karine, Noah, Alex and Mylène and several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by one son Michel Gaudet (2004), four sisters; Soeur Bernadette Gaudet n.d.s.c Yvonne Gaudet, Juliette LeBlanc, Fernande LeBlanc, four brothers; Alonzo Gaudet, Dr. Léonard Gaudet, Dr. Joseph-Edouard Gaudet and Dollard Gaudet. If he wasn’t tinkering with work equipment or maintaining his yard and home, he enjoyed playing cards, watching the Montreal Canadians, Blue Jays or participating to Jeopardy’s and Wheel of Fortune’s trivias’. He always took pride in his work, his home and his family. He thoroughly enjoyed the company of his children, his grand-children and his great-grand children. Adédodat will sadly be missed by all who know him; however he will always be remembered in our hearts.
Visitations for family and friends will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 rte La Vallée, Memramcook, on Friday, February 18th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. There will be no visitation before the funeral mass. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Thomas de Memramcook church, St-Joseph on Saturday, February 19th at 11am.
