It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Drover announce her passing on July 9, 2009 at the Interfaith Home in Corner Brook in her 97th year. Rose is the last survivor of eight children born to Jonathan and Martha Hutchings, Sunnyside, Trinity Bay. At almost 97 years of age, Rose has lived the longest of her parents and siblings. She is survived with fond and loving memories by her children: Jean (Robert) Young and Lorraine (James) Simmonds; four grandchildren: Judy (Kevin) Sellars, Edward and Roy Simmonds, Kenneth (Terri-Lynn) Young; grandson-in-law, Terry Green (late Rhonda); eight great-grandchildren: Christopher, Amanda, Jennifer, Maxine, Jack, Ivy, Adam and Katie; sisters-in-law: Eva Hutchings and Florence Drover; brother-in-law, Harry (Brigitte) Drover; special cousin, Gerald (Roberta) Hutchings, as well as many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by husband, Kenneth (July 31, 1958); granddaughter, Rhonda Green (July 11, 2008). Family and friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook on Saturday, July 11 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, July 12 from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. A service in celebration of her life will be held on Monday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m. from The Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Park Drive, followed by interment at the Anglican section of Townsite cemetery with Rev.
