ENFIELD – Perry Isaiah Colley – Pre-term infant son of Sherri Borden Colley and Perry Colley, Enfield, and baby brother to Keenan, died July 8, 2009, in the IWK Health Centre in Halifax.
Besides his parents, Perry is survived by his big brother, Keenan; loving grandparents, Ruth and Hugh (Sparky) Paris of New Glasgow and Phyllis Colley of East Preston. He is also survived by many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Just 14 days before his death, Perry was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Deacon Albert Colley.
Sherri and Perry wish to thank IWK Chaplains Colleen Quinn and Rev. Adele Crowell for their spiritual support and for officiating a heartfelt ceremony to celebrate Perry's life before we returned him to God. We also thank Drs. Lynne McLeod, Ajantha Jayabarathan, Shauna Archibald, Anna Coolen and all of the nurses in the IWK Fetal Assessment and Treatment Centre and the Prenatal Special Care Unit for their compassionate care to our baby and entire family throughout this sad occasion. As well, we thank IWK social worker Jessica Wine and our close family and friends who offered much-needed prayers, support, hugs and encouragement. We are especially grateful to Perry Jr.'s aunts, Donna Howe and Brenda Brooks, who remained in the hospital with us to witness both his birth and death and to his aunt, Marie Symonds, who provided us with extra care, love and support. Cremation has taken place.
Donations in Perry's memory may be made to the IWK Health Centre Foundation, Canadian Liver Foundation (Atlantic Canada Regional Office) or a charity of one's choice. We thank God for the precious moments we were able to share with our son. This time will forever be cherished. We love you baby boy and will meet again someday. Until then, rest safe in the arms of Jesus.
