James Fraser
James Alexander Cross Fraser was born in Auchterflow, Scotland on March 14, 1924, the youngest child of William Cross and Margaret Fraser. In 1949 he immigrated to Newfoundland and married the late Helen (Nellie) Langdon, whom he met while she was vacationing in Scotland. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and three sisters. He leaves to mourn a daughter, Sheena (Eli) Blake of Leduc, Alberta; son Derek (Eileen) Quirpon, NL; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Blake, Elisha (Dallas McLaughlin) and Heather Fraser; 4 great grandchildren; also the Fraser, March, and the Elliott Families; as well as an even larger number of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place Thursday, February 10, 2010 at 7-9 pm, Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Botwood Funeral Home. The funeral service took place February 12, 2011 at 2 pm from Trinity United Church, Botwood, NL with Reverend Stephen Barbour officiating. The interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Botwood, NL.
