GORDON A. LEWIS

I, Beverly (Andrews) Lewis, widow of the late Gordon A. Lewis of Coxheath wish to express my most heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all my relatives, friends, neighbours, far and wide, for their support, kindness and understanding during this sad and difficult time in my life...the sudden death of my beloved husband and life's partner. Many thanks to all my family and friends who attended the funeral at Christ Church, the reception afterward catered by the Parish Funeral Committee, sent sympathy cards, on-line condolences, e-mails, telephone calls, made charitable donations in Gordie's memory, brought food to my home, as well as most appreciated special gifts. The kindness of each one of you in honouring my Gordie will forever live deep within my heart. Thank you to the organist and choir for the beautiful renditions of selected hymns, favourite hymns of Gordie as well as myself. Thank you to pallbearers: Kent Cartwright, "Dates" Morris, Ian MacPherson and John James MacQueen, all long-time friends of Gordie. The loving care and kindness extended to myself and to Gordie's family deeply touched us at this most sorrowful time and will never be forgotten. Thank you to the readers and especially to Rev. Carl Fraser who delivered a beautiful and most touching homily, capturing the heart and soul of my Gordie and bringing a comfort and peace to me in the midst of my sorrow by definitely reinforcing my faith in knowing my Gordie is now at peace and rest in his own heavenly "grace land". To Dr. John Archibald, thank you for taking care of my Gordie over these many years. To Wayne Weatherbee and staff of Sydney Memorial Chapel, thank you for your professionalism in assisting me to make the final arrangements. Finally again, I want to thank each and every one of you who remembered and honoured my Gordie in any way, so many happy reflections, through reminiscences and stories you shared and that were a source of strength to me. Forever each of you, in your own special way, will be remembered for your compassion and kindness. May God richly bless each and every one of you.
Fly with the angels now, Gordie, my Love.
I am only a heartbeat away.
Sincerely,
Wife and soul mate: Beverly (Bev.)
Sisters: Isabel and Margaret
