FOSTER, Marion Anne – It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Marion was 92, and lived in Hubbard’s Point, Yarmouth Co., until her death on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Born in Hubbard’s Point on May 25, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Louise (Hubbard) Melanson. Surviving are her children, Geneva Bourque (Lester), Theodore (Frances) Foster, Johnny (Marguerite) Foster, Kenneth (Kay) Foster, Alice LeBlanc, Edna (Ronnie) LeBlanc, Phyllis (Peter) Wood, all of Hubbard’s Point; Theresa (Albert) LeBlanc, Wedgeport; 23 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Regina Doucette, Hubbard’s Point, and her companion, Augustin “Gus” Bourque, Tidal View Manor, Yarmouth. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William “Willie” Foster; a son-in-law, Lloyd LeBlanc; a grandson, Terry LeBlanc and her twin sister, Lillian Muise. Marion will always be remembered as a good hearted lady who helped anyone who needed it, especially her family and her neighbours. She loved listening to her favorite radio station, CIFA, and she was the number one fan of the band Rough Edges, whom she enjoyed listening to and dancing to every Friday night at Le Club Acadien. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday, with prayers at 8 p.m., both in H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held on Saturday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Anne's Catholic Church, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
