Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, of Mr. Louis F. McKenna of Charlottetown, age 76 years. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Campbell) McKenna and dear father of Karen Burke (Will) of Whitby, Ont.; Dr. Janice Gillis (Edwin) of Summerside; and Kevin McKenna (Claire) of Gatineau, Que. He is also survived by seven loving grandchildren Jared, David and Liam Burke, Jaimee, Emma, Erica and Jessica Gillis; sisters, Mary McKenna and Ada Peters (Reg). He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Gertrude (nee Callaghan) and Frances (nee MacIntyre) McKenna. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:15 Monday morning then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:45.
