1922-2011 - Alcide Allain, 88 of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital on Friday, February 18, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was married to the late Dorice (LeBlanc) Allain. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on April 22, 1922 he was the son of the late Alyre and the late Annie (LeBlanc) Allain. He will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Geneva Collette (Stephen), Odette Caissie (Henri), both of Sainte-Marie de Kent and Alcida Cormier (Clarence) of Saint-Paul, five sons, Aubrey (Rose-Marie), Jean (Janice), André (Phyllis), Rhéal (Adrienne) all of Sainte-Marie de Kent and Raymond (Rose-Marie) of Bouctouche, one sister Pauline Lacombe of Cambridge Ma, 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Alcide was predeceased by one son Maurice, two sisters, Geneva and Yvonne and three brothers, Ulysse, Oscar and Emile.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and from 5:30 to 6:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 7:00pm with internment in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Alcide`s memory donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross or to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.
