Surrounded by his loving family and friends, we regret to announce the passing of Israel McGrath, age 66, from New Bonaventure, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on February 10, 2011. Predeceased by his parents, James and Gertrude McGrath and daughter, Christine. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Jessie; daughters, Diane (Greg Young), Sheila (Michael Bailey) and Cindy McGrath (Draper Bemister); cherished grandchildren, Matthew Bailey, Emily Bailey, Hannah Young, Kelsey Young, Devon Mills and Destiny Mills; sisters, Ruby (Eddy Brake), Stella (Stanley Young), Bernice (Gerard Brake), Linda (Gerald King) and Eileen Dillman; brothers, Roy McGrath (Susie), Lloyd McGrath and Stan McGrath and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rested at the St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, New Bonaventure from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Chuck Lockhart, assisted by Rev. Robert Oldford, took place on Sunday, February 13, 2011 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.
