Haddie passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the age of 83. She is predeceased by her parents, Fanny and Edgar Chafe; her brother, Hughie Chafe; her husband, Eric Chafe; and just last week, her beloved sister, Dorothy Chafe. Haddie leaves to mourn her daughter Arlene Scott and husband Derek; precious grandchildren Morgan and Emily Scott; brother-in-law, Robert Chafe; niece, Denise Chafe and family; nephew, Doug Chafe and family; life long friend and sister-in-law, Vera Chafe and her son Randy Chafe; and a large circle of other relatives and friends as well as her friends and staff at Karwood Retirement Retreat. Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home on Hamilton Avenue on February 21 and 22 from 12 noon to 5 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm and on February 23 from 10 am to 12 noon.
