DONNIE MCNEIL
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Donnie McNeil, 52 of Reserve Mines on Feb. 19, 2011 in Ontario where he resided for the past 31 years.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret (McWrither) McNeil. Donnie will be missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed coming home to Cape Breton to visit with his family and friends.
Most of all he will be missed by the love of his life his wife of 26 years, Jackie and his sons, Jason (Debbie) and Christopher; grandchildren, Jacob, Nicole, Katelyn and Jessie.
He had a great love for his animals.
Donnie will be missed by his loving family brothers, John, Francie, Mickey, Darrell, Coody, Billy and Tommy; sisters, Tina, Donna, Mary Ruth and Toni; sisters and brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews and two very good buddies, Bobby of Ontario and Bruce McNeil of Reserve Mines.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by twin sister, Debbie, sisters, Eva, Mazie and Peggie; brothers, George, Duck, Robert and Jimmy.
Cremation has taken place with burial at a later date. A memorial service in celebration of Donnie’s life will take place in Ontario on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 with family and friends.
