We, the family of the late Charles "Charlie" Herritt, would like to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the immense outpouring of support, love and kindness shown to Dad and to us during his brief illness and after his passing through visits, phone calls, prayers, cards, food and donations. A special thank you to our friends who were there every step of the way; to Reverend Matthew Fillier for the beautiful service; to Chants Funeral Home for making this difficult day run smoothly; to Sheldon Chant for his beautiful voice; to the United Church Choir and their organist Jean Bagnell; to our bagpiper who braved the cold to play Amazing Grace for Dad; to the UCW for the lovely reception after Dad's service; to the pallbearers and honorary pallbearers who were Dad's friends to the end; to Val and Terry for taking such good care of Dad; to the Delta Hotel for providing accommodations to us and our family free of charge while Dad was in the hospital; to Dr. Brake, Dr. Hassan, Dr. Patel and the nurses and staff of 4A and 4B at Cape Breton Regional Hospital; to Freddie Burns for looking out for Dad while he was in the hospital; to Beavers Transfer for opening and closing Dad's final resting place; and to our Mom for her undying love and support as we struggle through the loss of our Dad.
