It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Agnes Ann Read age 66, of Amherst announce her passing on Friday, February 18, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Edith (Paul) Noiles.
Agnes was a stay at home Mom until 1978 when she started working at Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst and recently retired from Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Her glowing personality shone in everything she put her heart and hand to. Her family's happiness was her main concern, first and foremost, often putting everyone's needs before her own. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, quilting and doing puzzles. Agnes also enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table watching her many bird feeders and discussing today's news.
She is survived by her loving husband Ronnie, daughter Gail DeWitt of Amherst and son David (Joyce) of Sackville, NB, brother Arthur (Sylvia) of Fenwick, grandchildren Jason of Halifax, Cory of Amherst, Joey of Edmonton, Bradley of Riverview, NB and a very special nephew Kevin (Darlene) of Fenwick as well as other nieces, nephews, sisters in law and brothers in law.
Agnes was predeceased by a grandson Christopher.
There will be visitation on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:30 p.m. all in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Fenwick Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Agnes' memory may be made to the IWK Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre Foundation.
