Agnes “Nettie” Wiebe went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 19th, 2011. She was born on August 20th, 1933 in the Weyburn area, moving to Manitoba in 1945. After attending public school, she attended Rosthern Junior College and Swift Current Bible Institute. Nettie was baptized on the confession of her faith; the scripture given to her at her baptism was Rev. 2:10 "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee the crown of life." It was in Swift Current that Nettie met Peter Wiebe and the two were married June 21, 1958. Together they raised two children, Charlyne, born in November 1959, and Cordell born in July 1964. Nettie was employed with the Pioneer Co-op in Swift Current from the early 70's until her retirement in 1998; it was here that she felt she could serve others as she loved working with the public and getting to know her customers. Nettie was positive and easy-going, handling whatever was presented to her with confidence and decisiveness. She loved getting together with family and friends for a meal or coffee and enjoyed visiting and playing with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed music and would attend concerts of visiting choirs or musicians whenever she could. She was an avid reader of her Bible, as well as various Christian literature. Nettie loved to tend her garden, and, together with Peter, won awards for her garden displays. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed sewing clothes, dresses, and items for her home. Nettie was predeceased by her parents, Henry (1962) and Lena (1981); her husband, Peter in Jan. 2008; brother Henry (1959), and sister, Lil (2008). She is survived by her daughter, Charlyne (Garnet) Siemens of Saskatoon; son, Cordell (Cheri) of Williams Lake, BC; grandchildren, Craig Siemens, Scott Siemens, Joel Wiebe, Mitchell Wiebe and Kennedy Wiebe; brothers Jake (Teeny), Abe, Ike (Lee), Dave (Jessie), John (Mary), and sisters Tiena Epp, Lena (John) Neufeld, Sue (Abe) Heide, as well as many nieces and nephews.
