We the family sadly announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, sister ‘Kaye’ on Friday, July 10, 2009, at her residence.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Hugh V. and Florence (MacDonald) Chisholm.
Kaye was a dedicated member of St. Theresa’s parish and a chartered member and former president of St. Theresa’s parish CWL. An avid card player, she enjoyed playing tarabish and bridge with her sister, Isabel.
Kaye is survived by her daughters, Florence (Mrs. Paul Doyle), Bayfield, N.S., Ellen (Mrs. Blair Gushue); sons, James ‘Jim’ (Rita) and Robert ‘Bob’ (Debbie), all of Sydney; 12 grandchildren, David, Diana, Leanne, Craig, Laurie, Stephen, Brian, Jimmy, Michael, Heather, Sarah, Mark; four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Nicholas, Kameron, Emily; her sister, Isabel Dwyer; sister-in-law, Genevieve ‘Debbie’ Chisholm, both of Sydney; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jim in 1992, sisters, Jen Ross, Mary Sampson, Anne Stone, Tena Boutilier, Jessie Young, brothers, Ron, John ‘Chick’, Collie and infant brother, John Angus.
Visitation for Kaye Rudderham will take place Monday, July 13 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
Memorial donations to the V.O.N. and the C.B. Palliative Care Society or a charity of choice.
