Waller, Leslie Aubrey, 73, Truro passed away Monday, February 21, 2011, in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Truro, September 5, 1937, he was a son of the late Hugh and Ann (Eagles) Waller. Les worked with the CNR as a welder. Les was a wonderful husband and he loved his grandchildren so very much. He was a quiet man with a great sense of humor. He was a member of the T. M. R. C. where he spent many hours enjoying the running of his trains and his many friends. He also loved to watch Nascar racing.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carol (Hall); children, Penny Waller, Leslie Ann Graber, Tony (Eleanor) Waller, all of Alberta; step-children, Cathy (Joe) Merlin, Alton, Brian (Kim) Oickle, Kemptown, Lori (Charles) Halvorsen, Edmonton, AB; several grandchildren and 2-great-grandchildren; brothers Jim (Marilyn) and Robert both of Truro; sister Muriel Pratt, Truro.
He was predeceased by a brother Carl.
Visitation will be held from 1 pm until funeral service time at 2 pm on Thursday, February 24th, in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Kaj Binderup will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. Family flowers only.
