It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Wilcox on July 8, 2009, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.
Born in Louisbourg, he was the son of the late Porter Thomas and Mary (MacRury) Wilcox.
He was employed at a marine engineer until his retirement.
John is survived by his three sons, Nick (Edith), Montreal, and Earl and Danny, both of Vancouver; two sisters, Kaye Skinner and Anne Levi; brother, Gary; grandson, George; granddaughter, Tanya; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Louise (Chorny), brother, Phil Wilcox, two brothers-in-law, Donald Skinner and Ed Levi.
Cremation has taken place. No funeral is planned.
