Donald (Mac) John MacRae, age 62 of Halifax passed away February 19th at The Victoria General Hospital. Born in Port Arthur Ontario, he was the son of the late Cyril and Helen MacRae.

Mac was retired from the Canadian Navy after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Corp of Commissionaires, volunteer at the QE2, member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Member of the National Association of Federal Retirees. During his retirement he spent his time bowling, traveling and attending his Grandson’s hockey and baseball events.

He is survived by his loving Wife Jo-Ann, Son Jeffrey, Daughters, Kelly (Bill) Everett of Dartmouth, Cindy (James) Webster of California and Julie MacRae of Dartmouth. Brother Jack and Sister Susan (Dominic) Tse of Thunder Bay Ontario. Grandchildren Darren Everett and Alexis. Funeral Service will be held February 26th 2011 11am at The Holy Name Church on Main Street in Westville, Nova Scotia. Father EvoDiPierro officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or charity of choice.
