The passing of Veronica Lorraine Lee occurred on Thursday, February 24th 2011 at the Gagetown Special Care Home in Gagetown N B. Born in Saint John N B on May 13th, 1923 to the late Edward and Louise (Record) Riley. Lorraine went out to work once her children were well established in school, starting at Ross Drug on Rookwood Avenue & then on to Tiny Tots wear. She enjoyed many years there until her retirement. She even got to do some of the purchasing with ownership which she enjoyed immensely. A member of the Brunswick Street Baptist Church and Capital Y’s Menettes, she also enjoyed playing bridge. Survived by one son Norman D. Lee (Deborah) of Dartmouth N.S, five daughters, Nancy L. Williston (Tim) of Fredericton, Karen J. Gilliss (Steve) Richmond Ontario, Linda G. Lee of Saint John N.B, Sandra J. Grant (Edward) of Fredericton and L. Rosamond Gregory (Robyn) of Fredericton. Six grandchildren; Kelly Grant (Tim Pfeiffer), John Grant (Eunha), Mallory Gillis (Stef Kruse), Allison Gillis, Patrick Hanson and Darrell Hanson (Sonia). Three Great-Grandchildren, two sisters Doris McCoy and Theresa Wanamaker, Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband G. Owen Lee, a brother Maurice Riley, sister in law Phyllis McCarthy, brothers in law Reg Wanamaker and Pat McCoy.
No visitation by request of the family. A graveside committal service will take place in the Sunny Bank Cemetery in the spring.
