At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, of C. Jean Harding of Stanley Bridge, aged 86 years. Born in North Granville on Nov. 29, 1924, the last surviving member of the family of the late Lester and Lucy Ann (Parsons) Chappell. Wife of the late George S. Harding. Mother of Joan Harding, Stanley Bridge; Allan Harding, Alberta; and Nancy (Lewis) Foster, Kensington. Grandmother of Andrea (Kevin) Rogers, Cornwall; Brody Harding, Alberta; and Brittany Harding, Cornwallis, N.S. Sister-in-law of Shirley Chappell, Eleanor Harding, Urban (Alice) Harding, Stella Harding, Cyril Lambourn and Ronald MacElwee. Predeceased by sisters Elva (William Sr.) Heffel, Ethel (Kenneth Duggan and Thane Douglas), brother John Chappell, brothers-in-law Victor, Wallace and Vernon Harding, and sisters-in-law Lena Elstone, Muriel Lambourn, Verna MacElwee and Thursa Harding. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Sunday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Spring Brook.
