Kenny, Benjamin Vernon (1916-2011), 94, of New Carlisle, Quebec, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 24th, 2011 at the Veteran’s Health Center in Moncton, N.B. Vernon was the son of the late Roger Kenny and Agnes (Legouffe). He was predeceased by his loving wife, Elsie (Jackson). He will be greatly missed by his children Michael Kenny (Miriam), John Kenny (Bev), Anne Marie Kenny-LaBrie (Robert) and Jane Graves (David); predeceased in 2009 by daughter, Diane Clark. Cherished grandfather to Kimberly Hudson (Ted), Kelly Palmer (Brian), Jessica Grimes (Jonathan), Rebecca Graves, Michelle and Vanessa Kenny. Proud great grandfather of Jessie and Cole Hudson and Riley Palmer. Vernon was a Veteran of WWII. He worked for the CNR for 37 years on the Gaspe Coast. He will be sadly missed by his brother Jack (Jean). Predeceased by brothers, Milton and Cecil; sisters, Priscilla, Margaret, and Kathleen. The funeral mass will be at St. Etienne Catholic Church in New Carlisle on Monday, February 28th at 2:00pm. Memorial donations in Vernon’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or memorial of the donor’s choice.
