PICTOU – Agnes Mae White, 79 of the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, formerly of Stellarton died Sunday July 12, 2009, in the Nursing Home.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Mary Belle (Peebles) Davidson. Agnes was a resident of Stellarton for most of her life prior to moving to the Glen Haven Manor Extended Care Apartments where she lived for some 10 years.
She was a resident of the Shiretown Nursing Home in Pictou for the past 10 months. She was a member of the Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton.
She is survived by a son, Reginald Robert (Marcella), Lower Sackville; a daughter Terry (White) Robichaud (David), Courtice, Ontario; grandchildren: Bradley (Caitlin) Robichaud, Bowmanville, Ontario; Neil (Emily Bound) Robichaud, Courtice, Ont; Jerry White, Halifax; Tammy (John)Morrison, Halifax; Candace Boutilier White, Domonick Boutilier White and Phoeneix White, all of Lower Sackville; two great-grandchildren, Angela White and Joshua White, both of Halifax; a brother Len Davidson, Riverton; sisters, Inez Murphy, Augusta, Maine; and Diana Mannion, Westville.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert ”Bob” White, brothers, Thomas, Eugene, Reginald, two in infancy; sisters, Mary MacLean, Josie MacKay and Ruby Cioffi; great-granddaughter Kendra.
Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, for visiting from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday from where funeral services will be held 11a.m. Wednesday with Rev. John Roy officiating.
Reception to follow in the Sharon St. John United Church Hall.
Burial to follow reception in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
Donations in memory of Agnes may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The family would like to take this opportunity to say a personal thank you to all the wonderful caring staff at the Shiretown Nursing Home in Pictou for all their care and concern given to their mother while she was a resident.
