A long time resident of Reading, Massachusetts , died February 23, 2011 at the Winchester Hospital. He was 91 years of age. William was born Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada on September 18, 1919. He was the son of James and Janet (Jamieson) Jeffrey. William was a veteran of WW II having served as a Able Seaman with the Royal Canadian Navy. William moved to Reading in 1961 and prior to his retirement he worked for many years as a real estate supervisor for Boston Properties in Waltham, MA. William was also an avid gardener. William was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Lauza “Lois” (Savoie) Jeffrey who passed away this past December. He was the devoted father of Joanne J. Moroney and her husband Paul of Peabody and the late Wayne Jeffrey of Stoneham. Loving grandfather of four and great grandfather of five. William was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
