UNION CENTRE – Evelyn Christene Robinson, 80 years, Union Centre, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at her home.
Born in Millbrook, Pictou County on November 16, 1930, she was a daughter of the late James D. and Jessie (MacLeod) Fraser.
She was a member of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Westville and the Women’s Institute. She never missed an occasion to contribute to community affairs or baking for her family and friends. Evelyn loved spending time with her family, especially enjoying the company of her grandchildren.
Evelyn will be sadly missed by her children: Norris (Marilyn), Westville; Brenda Kerr (John), Union Centre and Jim (Doug Richardson), Ottawa. She dearly loved her grandchildren: Matthew, John and Jamie Kerr, Westville; Erika Nauss (Todd), Eastern Passage; Kirsten Sampson (Troy), Riverview, N.B. ; and great-grand children: Zachary, Aidan, Ethan and Chloe. She is also survived by sisters: Vera MacCulloch, P.E.I.; Ella Tupper, New Glasgow; Jean Henderson, Pictou; Myrtle Wooldridge, Toney River, and brothers: James (Margaret), Millbrook; Lloyd, Millbrook, and Donald (Yvonne), Sinclair Island, sister-in-law, Anna Parrett (Vernon), Amherst; brother-in-law, Clarence Robinson, Niagara Falls and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Norris; infant son, Allan; brothers, Allister and Raymond and an infant brother, Chester.
Visitations will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, with the Rev. Norman Marple officiating. Burial will be in Birch Hill Cemetery, Rocklin.
