Notre-Dame-de-Kent – Gérard W. Leblanc, 88, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 25, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent on August 28, 1922, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Eva (Léger) LeBlanc.
Gérard will sadly be missed by his wife, Bella; his four sons, Marcel (Colleen), of Notre-Dame; Gérard Junior (Thelma), of Cocagne, Yvon of Bouctouche, Emile (Carol), of Ontario; his five daughters, Cécilia (Joseph), of Notre-Dame, Evangéline (Emile), of Irishtown, Bernadette of St-Louis-de-Kent, Thérèse of Moncton, Fernande of Ontario; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one son, Emilien, one great-grandchild, Cory, one sister, Lorette, and three brothers, Emile, Alonzo and Désiré.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Slumber room in Notre-Dame on Monday, February 28th from 7 to 9 pm, Tuesday, March 1st from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, March 2nd from 9:30 am until time of funeral. Funeral service will be celebrated at the Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur RC Church in Notre-Dame on Wednesday, March 2nd at 10:30 am.
