It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George James McDonald on February 23, 2011 at the age of 86.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gisela, and son, Craig.
He was predeceased by his brother Ronald.
Although born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, George spent much of his life enjoying the wilds of British Columbia and was a long time resident of Kamloops. He had a long and rewarding career as an airman in the Royal Canadian Air Force and retired as Chief Warrant Officer in 1979. He had a particular love for hunting and fishing in the Squam Bay, B.C., area, and treasured the enduring friendships that he made there. He will be deeply missed by many.
A Celebration of George's Life will be held at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street.
