It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olive Hazel Bishop (Lemon) at the Oromocto Hospital on February 26th, 2011 at the age of 90. Olive was born on August 26th, 1920 daughter of the late Grover and Violet Lemon. She was predeceased by her husband, Harley in 1993 and her son Wayne 2007, sisters, Dewilda and Zella; brother Lorenzo. She is survived by her children, June (Clenton) Chase of Chipman, Joyce (James) Gray of Calgary AB, Jennifer (Gary) Armstrong of Chipman, Vincent (Hilda) Bishop of Saint John, Bruce (Betty) Bishop of Strathmore AB. Sister Fanny Briggs of Chipman; brother’s Howard (Mary) Lemon of Gaspereau and Clifford (Marina) Lemon of Sussex, daughter-in-law, Dianne Bishop, sister-in-law Bernice Wright; grandchildren, Peter, Cynthia, Wayne Jody, Tanya, Michael, Derrick, Krista, Belinda, Farley, Colleen, James, Chelsie and Colin; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Olive was heavily involved with her Church, Conservative Party, Women’s Institute, Loyal Orange Benevolent Association, Chipman Outreach and the Women’s Missionary Society. We cannot say enough good things with the care given to Mum while she was in the Oromocto Hospital these past 4 months. We are extremely grateful for the excellent care she was given.
Resting at Chipman Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday March 1st, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on March 2nd, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Second Chipman United Baptist Church with Pastor David Egers officiating. Interment at a later date.
