It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Victor Lynn Wood of French Lake at the Oromocto Public Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 26th, 2011. He was the husband of Diane Wood. Victor worked for the Oromocto Public Hospital as the Executive Housekeeper for over 35 years. He enjoyed watching hockey and cheering for his Toronto Maple Leafs. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather also known as "Grumpy". Survived by his loving wife Diane, one son Bradley (Brienne) of French Lake, NB and one daughter Joanna Gallant (Robert) of Waasis, NB; grandchildren, Cameron and Evelyn Gallant, Libby and Nathaniel Wood; his mother, Lena; two sisters, Barbara Moore (Gilbert) of Rusagonis, NB and Edith Porter (Stephen) of Charters Settlement; two brothers, Glendon (Mae) of Westfield and Lebaron (Sandra) of Nachawic, NB. Victor was predeceased by his father, Lee; two brothers, Lester and Carl
There will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held at the French Lake Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2: 00 pm. Rev. Paul Thompson will officiate. Reception to follow in the church basement. Interment will be in the Wood Cemetery at a later date.
